Policy Details
Treasure Coast Hospice is committed to protecting your online privacy while providing you with the most useful and enjoyable Web experience possible. While you can use many features of TCHospice.org anonymously, you are required to provide personal information to gain access to the ability to conduct credit card transactions and to send us email over the web.
How we collect and use personal information
Registering for an account on TCHospice.org gives you access to the site’s credit card transaction capabilities. The only information required to register is your name, e-mail address, postal address, country and ZIP/postal code. To conduct a transaction you must provide your billing address, credit card type, cardholder’s name, card number, expiration date and security code.
In addition, your email address and first and last name are required when you send us email via the Contact Us page. Your telephone number is required when you request that we contact you by telephone via our Request a Call page.
We occasionally may send e-mail to notify you about important developments at Treasure Coast Hospice. If you would rather not receive these e-mail notifications, you can simply indicate that preference by selecting an opt-out link on the email.
How we protect your personal information
All personal data you enter when creating an account or conducting credit card transactions on TCHospice.org is encrypted with secure server software (SSL) that encodes the information before your Web browser software sends it to us. The SSL software decodes the data only after it reaches our server, meaning hackers can’t snatch any of your personal information while it is in transit. Once the data reaches our site, the same state-of-the-art security software we use to guard all of our company’s essential business data protects your personal data as well.
How we use "cookies"
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that some websites store on your computer's hard drive when you visit them. Like many other Web sites, TCHospice uses cookies to manage your web session and to provide aggregate site statistics. No personal identifying information is stored or encrypted in the cookies and they are not used to track your activity on any other website.
What we provide to third parties
Credit card transactions are conducted under the auspices of Authorize.Net, a secure payment gateway service. Authorize.Net’s privacy statement is available on the web at http://www.authorize.net/company/privacy/.
TCHospice.org is hosted by Forte Interactive of West Palm Beach, Florida. Services Forte Interactive provides to Treasure Coast Hospice include the database that securely stores the personal identifying information that you provide to us. The information in the database is not made available to third parties.
Obtaining your consent
By using our website, you give Treasure Coast Hospice permission to collect information about the pages served to you as an anonymous user for the purpose of calculating aggregate site statistics. If you register TCHospice.org, you authorize Treasure Coast Hospice to use your demographic information when calculating aggregate site-user data.
