Create Your LegacyYour legacy reflects the meaning of your life. Choosing Treasure Coast Hospice in your estate plan will leave a legacy of comfort and care for the entire community.

We encourage you to consider a charitable contribution to Treasure Coast Hospice as you meet with your advisors to plan your estate. Your gift will:

  • Provide for exceptional hospice care in Martin, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties far into the future.
  • Be a permanent source of income ensuring that no one will ever be turned away because of an inability to pay.
  • Perpetuate Treasure Coast Hospice as a center of medical excellence, counseling and education for end-of-life care.
  • Preserve the independence and integrity of Treasure Coast Hospice as a regional, non-profit resource for everyone who needs our services.

In addition to providing a legacy of support for Treasure Coast Hospice's end-of-life care, your planned giving program can provide tax advantages and estate preservation features for you and your heirs. There are many ways to remember Treasure Coast Hospice in your estate plan, and you may be surprised how inexpensive most of these are to accomplish. Here are some options to consider:

  • Wills and living trusts -- You can name Treasure Coast Hospice as a beneficiary in your will and living trusts.
  • Retirement plans -- You also can name Treasure Coast Hospice as a beneficiary of your 401(k), IRA and other retirement plan assets.
  • Life insurance policies -- Naming Treasure Coast hospice as owner or beneficiary of a life insurance policy can be an effective estate planning method.
  • Charitable remainder trusts -- These trusts provide income to you during your lifetime and to Treasure Coast Hospice on termination of the trust.
  • Charitable lead trusts -- These trusts provide income to Treasure Coast Hospice during the term of the trust and assets to your heirs on the trust's termination.
  • Real estate -- You can transfer the deed of your home to Treasure Coast Hospice while keeping the right to live there for your lifetime.
  • Tangible property -- You may also leave valuable tangible property such as vehicles and jewelry to Treasure Coast Hospice in your will or in a separate written memorandum.

You may designate an unrestricted gift to the Treasure Coast Hospice Endowment Fund or you may designate it for either patient care, counseling services or spiritual care. For more information, please view our brochure on Leaving a Legacy by clicking here.
