Teens connect to people with dementia
As part of our Treasuring Life initiative, 17 students from the St. Lucie County School DIstrict spent their spring break enriching the lives of people with dementia and learning about themselves in the process. Treasure Coast Hospice teamed with Michael Verde, founder and president of Memory Bridge, to show the teen TCH volunteers how emotionally meaningful communication can overcome the isolation of dementia.
